Livres Kindle en Français: DUALITÉ

Livres Kindle en Français

DUALITÉ
De Scott Nicholson
Traduit par Guillemette Allard-Bares

« Personne n’écrit de thrillers comme Nicholson. Personne. » – J.A. Konrath, M. K

Caroline at The Ereader Cafe was kind enough to post an interview with me on her wonderful site:

http://www.theereadercafe.com/2013/05/author-interview-with-scott-nicholson.html

Also, L'Eglise rouge (the French version of The Red Church) is #40 in Amazon.fr for Kindle today. The French market is still small but I believe it is growing faster than conventional wisdom (i.e. "The French are cultural elites who will be slow to adopt new technology") would have us believe. Thanks to Franck Gandcher for the translation and Guillemette Allard-Bares for the proofreading.

Bad Blood: A vampire thriller by Scott Nicholson, J.R. Rain, and H.T. Night

My first literary menage a trois is now out: BAD BLOOD, a collaboration with bestselling authors J.R. Rain and H.T. Night. We alternated chapters on this vampire thriller, editing each other's work, and I am pleased with the blend of darkness, humor, romance, and action. I also got to research Mystical Mount Shasta, California, the land of the Lemurians. We're planning to continue the Spider series next year, if you like it well enough! Available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Smashwords, and coming soon to other markets.

I've also released The Vampire Shortstop as a standalone short story, which won the international Writers of the Future award waaaay back in 1999. It's free at Smashwords, BN.Com , and other markets, and I hope Amazon matches it, too. It's currently 99 cents at Amazon, so please help by clicking the link on the book's page that says "Tell us about a lower price." It's probably my best story, so I not only want people to read it and try my other books, I just want them to share the feeling. It's the only one of my stories that I like to re-read, and it makes me misty-eyed every time.

I'm considering releasing a few standalone short stories this month. It feels like 99 cents is too much for one story, since many of my story collections are 99 cents, but other writers accept it as a standard. I am putting out some other content, too, continuing the age of experimentation. How do you feel about 99 cent short stories? Too expensive, or a fair price?

I hope your Halloween season is off to great start! Let monsters and mayhem rule! And candy...don't forget the candy.

Chronic Fear chapter

Yes, I am actually writing a sequel. Chronic Fear will release June 21 whether I am alive or dead. The first chapter is now up at http://www.hauntedcomputer.com/chronicfear.htm. Roland, Wendy, Alexis, and Mark are caught between two secret agents with conflicting allegiances as Alexis synthesizes her own secret drug.

I have one more sequel planned for a fall release, and September will see the U.S. release of the long-lost Creative Spirit (formerly The Manor). Five years after a callous New York publishing house left it for dead, an evil spirit...no, wait, that's not the log line. This is a haunted house story.

Mostly Human--four blokes, four continents!

Talent from across the world (and then there's me!) combined to bring together this little creature/horror/mystery tale with a swaparound. Out through Generation Next Publications for 99 cents, also through Amazon, BN and Kobo, SOny, and Apple through Smashwords. Though it's been out a while, we haven't taken the time to properly introduce it to the world--so I hope you give it a taste.

Steven Savile is a UK bestseller from Sweden, Steve Lockley is a multiple award winner in Wales, William Meikle is a a Scottish writer living in Canada, and I'm the boring old U.S. guy who just lives in the U.S. It was a real honor to work with this international group!

Where I've Been This Week

Thanks everyone for your Liquid Fear love--we hit #130-something on Amazon US, around 2,700 on Amazon UK, around 36,000 on BN com, and now it's hanging around in that weird land of #150 at Amazon, teetering on the edge. It could go one of two ways, but I doubt it will hang right there, because it's a volatile territory for rankings and algorithms. I will be raising the price to $2.99 as soon as it finds its plateau, so if you know any mystery/thriller lovers, please encourage them to jump in. And the Fool's Gold Rush is going on all week, so you still have time to enter at the participating blogs for the $10 gift cards and hopefully the $100 bonus booty!

Here are some blogs I've been at recently, apart from the Fool's Gold Rush blogs:
Indie Good Cop/Bad Cop at Joe Konrath's Newbie's Guide
One For the Money, Two for the Show at Indiereader
Liquid Fear and bioethics at Seduced By Books
Writing talk at Character Happens

Thanks for all your support! Currently working on a secret dark fantasy project, of which nothing will be revealed...and a few options for the next "Scott Nicholson" book...

Liquid Fear seeps out

Liquid Fear is now live for 99 cents at  Amazon, BN.com, and Smashwords and don't forget to blog hop for the Fool's Gold Rush on April 1 and meet all the major characters. Eleven blogs, more than $200 in prizes, a chance to help Liquid Fear twist even more minds. Thanks for your support. This book was a fun but at times intense journey through some of my own fears--and believe me, I have a closet full. I hope you come along for the ride, tell your friends, or write reviews. Let's go crazy together.

Thanks to Jennifer at Book Den for the Countdown Image!
